ICMC RSC TuME has implemented policies to protect the personal data which is collected to manage its defined business purposes. ICMC RSC TuME implemented a robust National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security framework, which is compliant with regional data protection laws, including Türkiye’s Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and Lebanon’s Law No. 81. Please read the information provided on this page carefully to understand how your personal data is managed by the organization and the choices you have concerning our use of such data. ICMC RSC TuME may from time to time update its privacy policies due to changes in law and or changes in business practices. Any changes to existing privacy policies will be published on this Website. Updates to privacy policies will become effective when we post or link to the revised Privacy Policy on the Website. By continuing to use the Website, you agree to be bound by the applicable Privacy Policy in place at the time of use.

ICMC RSC TuME is not responsible for the privacy of any information you reveal or post in any public forum (e.g. message board or chat room), nor for the privacy practices of websites that are operated or owned by third parties, even if those websites are featured on the Refugee Information Website. We strongly advise you against sharing your personal information with unknown individuals or organizations.

What information do we collect?

The scope of personal data we collect varies according to the stated business purpose for collecting the data. For registration on this Website, we request the USRAP principal applicant’s full name, date of birth, email address, and case numbers. This information is gathered for the purpose of verifying the identity of the registrant to access their own USRAP case status. Once ICMC RSC TuME completes the registration process, this Personal Data is deleted.

For all business processes, ICMC RSC TuME’s policy is to collect the minimum amount of personal data required to fulfill the stated business need. For more details, please visit the below “Privacy Policy” section.

What is Personal Data

Personal data is any information related to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes  a person’s name, email address, physical address, and phone number. Special categories of personal data which require stronger protections include race, ethnicity, political opinion, religious beliefs, and biometric information such as photographs and health status.. You may notice that when communicating with ICMC RSC TuME via email, we often avoid using your name and we replace personal data with “X” when we respond to your messages. This is because it is our practice to always do our best to limit the amount of Personal Data used in our communications to include only what is necessary.
 

Data Collected on the Website

ICMC RSC TuME requests personal data from you when you register on the Website. The registration process requests that you provide ICMC RSC TuME with your personal email address, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Case Number, your date of birth, and your full name to verify your identity to access case information on the Website, and to agree to the Terms presented at the time of registration. After the registration process is complete, your personal data will be deleted from the Website. The purpose for collecting personal data at registration is simply to  verify the information provided against the information in your USRAP case records. In addition to information collected during registration, ICMC RSC TuME may collect personal data voluntarily provided by you, including in emails you send to the Website, online forms, registration forms, surveys, etc. Providing this information is optional and does not impact decisions about your cases nor your eligibility for resettlement in the United States through the USRAP. Information about your case can be accessed by using your UNHCR Case Number and password. To allow you to independently monitor your case process, your case status without any personally identifying data must be stored on the Website. Please note that your  account is accessible to any Website visitor who knows your UNHCR case number and your password. For this reason, we advise all users to safeguard their UNHCR case numbers and passwords carefully and to not disclose this information to any other person.

Use of Cookies

The Website uses “cookies” to help you more easily interact with the Site. When you visit our Website, we might store some information on your computer in the form of a “cookie." "Cookies" are small text files a website can use to recognize repeat visitors, facilitate the visitor’s ongoing access to and use of the website, allow a website to track usage behavior, and compile aggregate data that will allow content improvements.

Cookies are not programs that come onto a visitor’s system and damage files. Generally, cookies work by assigning a unique number to the visitor that has no meaning outside the assigning site. We use Monitoring Data to help us understand who uses the Website and to make improvements.

Unless combined with Personal Data, Monitoring Data does not personally identify you or any other user. Additionally, we may aggregate any Personal Data in a manner such that the end-product does not personally identify you or any other user of the Website.

Monitoring Purposes

User data may be monitored for internal or external purposes such as researching and identifying needs. This data does not personally identify individuals; we may use such information to improve our services. In addition, we reserve the right to share monitoring data with partners, stakeholders and other third parties, for any purpose.

The Site may contain links to other Internet websites. Third party sites are not under ICMC RSC TuME’s control and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the contents of any such linked site, or any link contained in any linked site. We provide such links only as a convenience and ICMC RSC TuME does not endorse, and is not responsible for, the privacy practices or the content of these websites. If you provide any Personal Data through any such third party website, your transaction will occur on such third party's website (not this Site) and the Personal Data you provide will be collected by, and controlled according to the privacy policy of that third party. Security Measures

ICMC RSC TuME has established reasonable precautions to protect collected Personal Data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, which include contractual, administrative, physical, and technical steps. Technical measures may include use of firewall protection and encryption technology where ICMC RSC TuME deems such measures are appropriate. Please note that while ICMC RSC has endeavored to create a secure and reliable site for users, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us through or in connection with the Site or that is stored by us. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account you might have with us has been compromised), please notify us of the problem immediately by contacting us in accordance with Section "Contact Information for ICMC RSC TuME") below (note that if you choose to notify us via postal mail, this will delay the time it takes for us to respond to the problem).

Data Integrity

ICMC RSC TuME will use Personal Data only in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by you. ICMC RSC TuME will take reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Data is relevant to its intended use, and is accurate, complete (as provided by you), and current (although we depend on you to update or correct your Personal Data whenever necessary).

Enforcement

ICMC RSC TuME periodically will review its compliance with this Privacy Policy. ICMC RSC TuME will also review and respond to any formal written complaints that we received from you. ICMC RSC TuME will cooperate with the appropriate regulatory authorities to resolve any complaints that cannot be resolved between us.
